The pace here is unhurried but lively, with friendly chatter mingling softly with the clink of cups and the soft hum of conversation. The menu at The New Baking Company carries the heart of Santa Fe’s flavors woven into comforting breakfast favorites and bakery treats. From flaky almond croissants to hearty bowls that echo the region’s love for bold, satisfying ingredients, the offerings invite you to linger over a morning coffee or enjoy a lunch that hits both familiar and unexpected notes. Part of the charm here is how the bakery captures a simple joy in each bite and sip, making a stop feel less like a transaction and more like a moment to pause and collect the small pleasures of the day. Got huevos rancheros, the cowboy bowl and an almond crescent. Could only eat half of everything! Quick service, lots of customers, GOOD FOOD. My only complaint is that it’s 6pm and I want to go get some almond bearclaws but they are closed now. Just an excuse to go back tomorrow.

This place has everything!! Outdoor seating! Breakfast! Mexican food! Bakery! Fresh fruit! Cappuccino! Non-milk options! Visiting from TX and we stumbled upon The New Baking Co (only place open before 8 am on Google map) for breakfast on the way to the airport. Their coffee is great, they have your typical kids menu and the Pueblo pie was SO GOOD. I have been missing out all my life! It's a flaky pie-like pastry filled with apples, peaches, pecans, walnuts, and raisins (don't worry, there are very few raisins!) dusted with sugar and probably has some cinnamon. It was GREAT with coffee! Nearly gone before the cappuccino was done being made

Accidentally discovered this place for breakfast. The portions are large, so maybe share a plate. Prices were reasonable given the portion size. Staff was friendly and our food arrived no more than 10 minutes after ordering. Looks like a nice local bakery with cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The parking lot is a little small.

Great place for a basic breakfast. The sweet rolls were very good. Nice people and friendly too! Prices were very affordable.

True diner atmosphere. 5 stars for my vegan bowl, cinnamon bun and croissant. First time here and didn’t know what to expect for a vegan bowl, but my goodness. It was a cross between a soup, chili consistency with toasted rye bread to dip in it. It made me feel warm inside as the temperature outside dropped with the freezing wind. Topped with tofu, red sauce and slices of avocado, it felt like a treat to have. The potatoes were cut and cooked perfectly. The spinach was perfect. Will have again, maybe even weekly. Can’t wait to try breakfast.

Super clean, super spacious, amazing coffee and the best green chili cheese croissant that I've ever eaten in my entire life.

Nice local Cafe. Good selection of food items at reasonable prices. There is plenty of seating. Parking can be a bit more challenging, but there are spots nearby
